April showers...

Hello all!!

I hope you are enjoying this wonderful (and long) transition into the warm and beautiful weather! This time of year is always a hard one for me in terms of how to dress. When I open my closet in the morning, the sunshine and the singing birds entice me to put on a light flowy silk top with cropped pants and cute little flats...However, like today, the weather has changed its course about 8 times already, going from sunny and warm, to pouring rain, to sun, to hail, to chilly sun, you get the picture! When dealing with weather like this and what is typically spring weather for New England, I suggest this to you my friends:

Layers are your best friend!!

I have been finding that pulling out my light spring clothes that I HAVE to begin wearing- the best thing to do is accessorize with a nice bright scarf for an extra cozy layer, but still be bright and fun! I don't know about you, but my tall boots and heavy knit pants have already been put away (chomping at the bit- I know!), so, take some time to layer an outfit... Blazers can be your best friend, Crocheted pieces spruce up an outfit with a light airy feel to them, cotton pants give you that lighter look without compromising actual warmth, and scarves will make any outfit look even more amazing!!

Need more tips? Stop by for an in-store fitting!

XCVI Straight leg-the perfect weight for this time of year!

Tie a scarf twice around your neck, and then knot it for a cute spring look that still gives you the warmth function of a scarf!!

This cute layering sweater by Miilla is a perfect piece to bring you all the way through summer! Wear it now over a cami or a cap sleeve, and bring it into summer as a light and airy cover up for sundresses for those cooler nights!
